“Falling back” an hour today gave me a bit more time to work on my photography cards. I made prints in anticipation of my craft show debut at Red Mill Elementary School’s Holiday Pancake Breakfast and Craft Fair on Saturday, December 4th from 8-2. I’m getting excited about the opportunity to put some of the pictures I’ve enjoyed taking out there for public consumption. I’ve been trying to stay reasonable and only order a few photos that I thought would look good on cards and calendars, but I’m probably spending more than I will make. We’ll see what happens. For now, all I have to do is put my credit card away and wait for the boxes to arrive from VistaPrint.
Going through the photos made me reminisce about where and when I took the pictures. It was nice to have my photos give me the inspiration to spend some time looking back into my mind’s images of the times spent taking them. This time of reflection combined with the cold night tonight makes me long a bit for the warm dry heat of our summer trip to Utah two summers ago. It was an amazing trip. The geography was so different than that of any other place I had even been. Arches National Park, the deserts, Great Salt Lake, and the petroglyphs right out in the open by the side of the road had me captivated during our 10 days exploring Utah. So, I thought I would share some of my favorite nature shots from that trip. Most of these were taken near Moab and Salt Lake City.
