Rainy Day Images: Of Amphibians and Other Water Based Animals

Water is my element. I don’t know if it is because I am astrologically a Pisces or if it is because I grew up near the ocean, but I am fascinated by ocean waves, babbling brooks, still ponds and roaring rapids.   I’m also fascinated with all creatures who call these watery places their primary home.  In particular, my family has a thing for frogs whether or not they are in the water. As always, I love capturing close ups. I hope you will enjoy a collection of some of my favorite things. Enjoy.

This stone tree frog was waiting for me under the grill cover and never moved even when I screamed and then ran to get my camera. We called him Weber.

I love the beauty of Weber’s body from his bumpy back to his ETish fingers. More importantly, his eye is stunning.

This was my cover photo for Facebook for a while. Hubby and I were spending a weekend at a B&B and went to hike at an off the grid farm in Vermont. I heard the sound of frogs and we walked over to the pond to look for them. I loved the simplicity of these guys swimming along.
Aqaurium Visit (125)
First trip with the son to the Baltimore Aquarium – one of my most favorite places to visit. I loved how this little guy came up to visit with us.
