Every spring for the last 4 or 5 years my family and I take a short hours trek to Williamstown, Mass stopping by a quaint little pull off park called Mount Hope. We bring a picnic, climb down to the water, skip stones, and I (of course) take pictures. We brought some bubbles with us this time. I decided to try and capture those fragile spheres. Not an easy photographic assignment. However, I was so fascinated by the colors in the bubbles. The iridescence shimmering makes me want to experiment more with light and backgrounds to see what else I can capture with my camera lens. I just hope hubby and son have strong enough lungs to keep my bubble supply going. To get the best view of the pictures you much click on them and experiment with zooming in to see some of the hidden beauty of these fragile soap circles.
Clear View – I love the shades and shimmer of blues.Iridescent Galaxy – This is my hubby’s favorite. We zoomed in about 300% and it really looks like a shinning galaxy inside the bubble.Floating – this doesn’t come close to capturing the gentle floating through the air as bubbles move, but it was the only good shot of more than one bubble.Resting Place – I can’t believe I got this one as the bubble kissed the water and log.Into the Woods – There is so much going on here with the leaves, branches, stones, and moss, but that tiny shimmering bubble catches the light and is in the center of it all.Just Before the Pop – this one is my favorite. I love how the red branch reaches out a finger to touch the bubble.
