What is a Field Journal? In the wilderness, an explorer or artist carries a field journal to sketch, take notes, and record their thoughts and discoveries along the trail. A field journal is centered around observation, reflection, documentation, and collection.
Here at Canvas, Crafts, & Compass, The Field Journal is our dedicated space to pause and document the creative path—sharing artistic reflections, collecting inspiration, and noting key trail markers and way post. It is a periodic (monthly) newsletter documenting creative pathways and offering seasonal crafting inspiration, updates on upcoming events/workshops, and insights into mindful, nature inspired, hand-crafted living.
Our creative wish for you is that these pages offer a regular dose of inspiration for your own journey. We hope that as we share our trail notes and updates with our creative community, you find the encouragement to observe the world around you, reflect on your artistic experiences, and collect your own moments of mindful, hand-crafted living. May you always find your creative direction… and may Canvas, Craft, & Compass help guide you!
