Capture the rustic, bountiful beauty of an Upstate autumn—and make it last forever! We are gathering to celebrate the changing seasons with our creative spirits. Join Lisa, owner and artist of Canvas, Crafts, & Compass, for a relaxing, hands-on afternoon of botanical crafting. In this workshop, we are celebrating the harvest by designing gorgeous, sustainable forever floral arrangements that will never wilt or fade.
The Experience: As we settle into the lively, welcoming energy of the vineyard and cidery tasting room, I will guide you step-by-step through the joyful art of floral design and upcycled crafting. You will start by selecting your ideal base—a beautiful rustic vine, natural straw, or woven jute twine and wire wreath. Using the wreath as your canvas, you will arrange a curated selection of dried autumn botanicals, sola wood flowers, and my signature upcycled book-page flowers and leaves.
The best part? You get to choose your own combination! You can design your piece as a traditional hanging wreath for your front door, or style it to sit flat as a breathtaking autumn centerpiece for your dining table. We invite you to fall into the experience with joy and the absolute confidence that you are a creative being! And, your ticket includes a $10 credit at the tasting room bar so you can enjoy a delicious local beverage while we design together.

The Take-Home: Every guest will go home with a stunning, everlasting harvest arrangement customized entirely by you. It is the perfect, eco-friendly touch of autumn magic to welcome guests into your home season after season, and a beautiful memory of a creative day out.

All Materials & Instruction: A 2-hour guided floral design experience (12:00 PM – 2:00 PM) where we bring all the supplies you need—high-quality wreath bases, a full “flower bar” of sola wood flowers, dried botanicals from my gardens, paper blooms, ribbons, floral wire, and tools! And handouts, a curated Spotify playlist, stickers for all, and a few giveaways are always part of the experience.

Our pARTy Policies: We understand that life happens and plans change! Because we purchase and prep our materials based on exact headcounts, we have a tiered cancellation policy:
- 7+ Days Before Event: Full refund.
- 4 to 6 Days Before Event: 50% refund.
- 3 Days Before Event: Studio credit towards a future event (no refunds).
- Within 48 Hours: No refunds or credits.
However, tickets are always transferable! If you can’t make it, and it falls within the 48 hour window, you can share the joy of creativity with a friend. Just email us at canvas_crafts_and_compass@docdw.com to let us know which friend is taking your spot.
