Step into the cozy autumn season for an unforgettable “Craft & Sip” experience, brought to you by Canvas, Crafts, & Compass and Goold Hill Estate!
Get ready to ignite your personal style and find your creative direction. Join Lisa, owner and artist of Canvas, Crafts, & Compass, for a warm and joyful afternoon in this beginner-friendly workshop, where we will be exploring the exciting art of pyrography as we design and burn custom artwork onto beautiful vegan suede hats to express your unique signature look.
The Experience: : In this creative, supportive, and low-stress workshop, I will guide you step-by-step through the process of custom hat burning. We invite you to fall into the experience with joy and the confidence that you are a creative being! You will choose a beautiful vegan suede hat. Once you sign up, I will send a separate email asking you (and anyone who will be attending with you) to choose your style of hat and color.
During the class, we will be using a simple transfer method with Press & Seal wrap and printed designs, you will map out botanical patterns—like sunflowers, leaves, and floral borders—right onto your hat. I will teach you how to safely use a heated wood-burning tool at a 90-degree angle to trace those designs directly into the felt, creating stunning, permanent lines.
While we craft, we’ll listen to an ambient playlist, soak in the lively estate atmosphere, and enjoy the community fun. And, as always, your ticket includes a $10 credit at the tasting room bar so you can enjoy a delicious local beverage while you create!
