Description
The holidays can be hectic and everyone deserves a chance to slow down into a relaxing, fragrant retreat for a cozy “Craft & Sip” experience, brought to you by a beautiful partnership between Canvas, Crafts, & Compass and Goold Hill Estate.
We will celebrate the season of giving with some self-care (or gift making). Join Lisa, owner and artist of Canvas, Crafts, & Compass, for a tactile experience of mixing, pressing, and molding Scents of the Season custom bath bombs and incense sticks.
The Experience: In this creative, supportive, and low-stress workshop, I will guide you step-by-step through the process of creating beautiful, fizzy bath bombs. You will get to customize your creations using essential basics like baking soda, citric acid, Epsom salt, and sunflower oil. We will make them truly special with a variety of fun additions, including vibrant dyes, multi-color and gold mica powders, and fragrance oils. You can even add delightful textures like dried roses, tiny gold stars, or colorful square embeds. We will use an assortment of round clear molds and fun shaped molds, like apples, to shape your perfect holiday gifts or personal spa treats. To truly capture the essence of the holidays, we will also craft a set of winter seasonal incense sticks. I’ll show you how to blend aromatic winter botanicals and ground spices onto a bamboo core, creating the perfect scent profile to warm your home. We’ll explore grounding notes like pine and cedar and bright, nostalgic scents like cinnamon and clove, all of which complement your new bath bombs. While we craft, we will listen to an ambient playlist, soak in the lively estate atmosphere, and enjoy the community fun. And, as always, your ticket includes a $10 credit at the tasting room bar so you can enjoy a delicious local beverage while you create.
Location: Meet in the Tasting Room at Goold Hill Vineyard & Cidery, 1297 Brookview Station Rd. Castleton, NY
The Take-Home: Every guest will go home with a collection of handmade, aromatic bath bombs and a set of custom incense sticks perfectly suited for holiday gift-giving or a well-deserved fragrant post-holiday relaxing session. It is the perfect touch of handmade luxury to bring a spa experience directly to your home as a beautiful memory of a creative day out.
